Funeral services for Flossie C. Whealton, 79, of Talala, who died Monday, January 21, 2001 at Claremore were held Tuesday, January 23 at the United Methodist Church in Oologah with Pastor Lester Orwig officiating. Interment followed at Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow under the direction of Oologah Funeral Home.
Flossie was born December 21, 1921 at Richland to Claud C. and Cordelia (Ferguson) Colley.
She and Harry Whealton were married on December 10, 1948 in Elkton, Maryland. They have been residents of Talala since 1976.
Flossie attended the Oologah United Methodist Church and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Talala Senior Citizens.
Survivors include her husband, Harry Whealton of the home, and several nieces and nephews.
