Funeral services for Marjorie Ann Bushyhead, 73, of Claremore who passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2001 in Claremore Regional Hospital were conducted Friday, March 9 in the Memorial Chapel of Garner's Jim Green Funeral Home, Pryor, with the Reverend B.G. Buthrie officiating. Interment followed in Fairview Cemetery in Pryor with family and friends serving as casket bearers. Funeral service arrangements are under the care of Garner's Jim Green Funeral Home of Pryor.

Marjorie was born June 5, 1927 in Hammond, Indiana to Paul Herman and Anna Marie "Tooker" Stoetzel. As a small child, she lived in Indiana and when she was four years old her family moved to Salina. She grew up in Salina and was a member of the Salina High School Class of 1946. For many years she worked for her mother who owned and operated a cafe in downtown Salina. She married James Wilson Bushyhead by a Justice of the Peace in Claremore in December 1949. For several years the couple lived in Salina until moving to Claremore where she resided until her death. For the past year she has been a resident of Wood Manor Nursing Center in Claremore. Marjorie joined the United Methodist Church in Salina as a young girl. She was a wonderful lady who loved everyone and enjoyed visiting with friends and neighbors. Marjorie enjoyed raising flowers, reading novels and ladies magazines, traveling, listening to country and western music, watching her favorite TV soap operas and especially the Lawrence Welk shows. She loved cooking for her family and will be remembered as a lady who enjoyed her life, family and friends.

Survivors include her two sons: Arthur William Bushyhead and his wife, Cathy of Claremore and Jim Bushyhead and his wife, Shirley of Nowata; grandchildren: Ryan, Eric, Tonya and Dayanara; great-granddaughter, Cheyenne; her brother, Paul Stoetzel of Augusta, Georgia; other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James, her parents and a brother, Jim Beeman.
