Memorial services for Ella Gladys Baumfalk, 91, of
Littleton,
Colorado who departed this life on February 16, 2001 to her heavenly home were held in the
Camino Del Son
Chapel in Sun City West,
Arizona on February 22. Her final resting place is at
Chapel Hills Memorial Cemetery in
Littleton,
Colorado.
Ella was born July 8, 1909 to
Cora and Edwin
Foster in Max,
Nebraska.
She married Francis M. Baumfalk on May 4, 1932. They raised four children on a farm in
Stratton,
Nebraska. Ella was involved in a P.F. Women's Study Club, all of her children's school functions and was a member of the First Methodist Church.
Ella and Francis moved to
Littleton,
Colorado in 1966 where they became members of the
Columbine United Church.
At the time of her passing they were visiting their daughter and her husband in Sun City West,
Arizona.
She was a strong Christian woman and will be remembered for her kind, compassionate heart, her love for God and her family and her gentle loving spirit to all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband, Francis Baumfalk of the home; three daughters: Delores
Utter and her husband, Ross of Nowata; Darlene
Mathews and her husband, Willie of Sun City West, Arizona; Carol
Newmann and her husband, Bill of
Bailey, Coloarado in the summer and Ft. Pierce,
Florida in the winter; one son Dennis Baumfalk and wife, Kathy of Arvada, Colorado; six grandchildren: Julie, Kelly, Greg, Brian, Cathy and Christy; 11 great-grandchildren and one brother, Cldye
Foster of
Caldwell,
California.
Two grandsons, Steven
Utter and Mitchell
Neumann preceded her in death.
