Graveside services for Martha Alta Haddox, 74, of Broken Arrow who died Monday, January 15, 2001 at St. Francis Hospital at Broken Arrow were held at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery, Thursday, January 18 with the Reverend Ronald Thompson officiating. Interment followed at Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service.
Martha was born July 14, 1926 at Broken Arrow to Earl and Trudie Page Thompson. She grew up at Broken Arrow and received her education there. She moved to Nowata in 1950 and later returned to Broken Arrow in 1965. She worked in restaurants and was a Nurse's Aide. Mrs. Haddox was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include two sons: Richard Earl Stickney and his wife, Allicia of Tulsa and Kenneth LeRoy Fowler and his wife, Cindy of Nowata; two daughters: Shirley Dean Watson of Broken Arrow and Barbara Lou Lawson and her husband John of Talala; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one brother, Charles Thompson of Coweta.
