Memorial services for 84-year-old James Edward "Ed"
Noble of Bartlesville who passed away Thursday, January 18, 2001 at Jane
Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville were Monday, January 22 in the
Chapel of the First Presbyterian Church in Bartlesville with the Reverend Bob
Bogue officiating and under the direction of Benjamin Funeral
Service of Nowata.
Ed was born in
Springfield,
Missouri on July 13, 1916, the son of Neil
Blair and Mayme
Heneger Noble. He moved to Nowata as a small boy, grew up and received his education in Nowata
Schools. Noble worked at the Pioneer Drug Store in Nowata as a young man and later worked for
Forrest Oil
Corp. He later worked for
Phillips Petroleum Company and retired in 1983 and moved to Bartlesville. He and Dorothea
Ringo were married on June 8, 1945 at Nowata. Mr. Noble was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bartlesville and served as an
Elder in the Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothea
Noble of the home; a brother, Bill
Noble of
Dewey and a sister, Elizabeth Yukl of
Dallas,
Texas.
