Graveside services for Ann Eades, 87 years of age and a long time Nowata resident who died Monday, January 1, 2001 in the Jane Phillips Medical Center at Bartlesville, were held Thursday, January 4 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville with the Reverend Christine Bell officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service in Nowata.
Ann was born April 21, 1913 in the Armstrong Community in Nowata County, the daughter of James Floyd and Laura Myrtle Briggs Breshears. She grew up in Nowata County and has spent most of her life here. She met and later was united in marriage with William Frank Eades. Mrs. Eades worked many years at Dewey Ward's Menswear and also at Gilbert Shoe both in Nowata. Ann was an avid bowler and was very good at it. She was of the First Christian Church faith.
Mrs. Eades is survived by one daughter, Beverly McDonald and her husband Jim of Bartlesville; by three grandchildren: Teri Avery and her husband, Dennis of Claremore, Cathy Montgomery and her husband, Steve of Nowata and Greg McDonald of Bartlesville; four great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Argene Breshears of Perry; by other relatives and by her many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Eades on Marcy (No typo, this is what was printed.) 19, 1964; by two brothers: Wilbur A. "Jack" Breshears and James Leroy "Dick" Breshears and one sister, Catherine Eudora Parker.
The family suggests that friends who wish may remember the 10-33 Emergency Team at 321 E. Cherokee in Nowata or the First Christian Church at 211 S. Pine also in Nowata.
