Jewell was born at
Delaware on June 20, 1915 to William and
Maudie Mae
Worthington Wyckoff. She grew up in the
Delaware and Lenapah area. She received her education in the
Delaware School and has remained in this area all of her life. Jewel had worked at Stevie Toggs in Neodesha,
Kansas, Lee's Mensware at Cherryvale,
Kansas, Neil Todd Enterprises in Coffeyville,
Kansas Rok-A-Chair also in Coffeyville and baby sat with her grandchildren. Mrs. Wyckoff enjoyed sewing and crocheting. She was a member of the Lenapah Methodist Church. She married William Edward "Bill"
Wyckoff on December 23, 1915 at Nowata.
Mrs. Wyckoff's survivors include a son, Lawrence Edward "Sonny"
Wyckoff and his and his wife, Chris of Wann; three daughters: Barbara June McKellip of
Denver, Colorado; Joyce Maxine
Cahill of Inglewood,
Colorado and Dora May
Fuller and her husband, Earl of South Coffeyville. 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; also two brothers, J.R. Collier of Nowata and Albert
Collier of
Drumright as well as a sister, Lela
Shipley of Lenapah.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill
Wyckoff on February 6, 1983, a son, Connie Ray Wyckoff; a daughter, Sharon
Turney and one grandson, Kristopher Fuller; five brothers, Charlie, "
Pete", Ed and Cleo
Collier and one sister, Hazel
Bowden.
