Paso,
Texas died Wednesday, December 13, 2000 after a long battle with cancer. Graveside services were held Monday, December 13 in El
Paso,
Texas.
Shirley was born October 16, 1930 to John H. and Ethel
Lewman Nunnallee at
Childers. She graduated from Nowata High School and Northeastern State
College, Tahlequah with a teaching degree. Shirley began her teaching career at
Thompson School in rural
Oklahoma and continued to teach in
Tulsa and
Denver and retired from the El
Paso schools where she taught first grade. She made her home in El
Paso,
Texas with her husband, Dale
Alloway, who was raised in the Coffeyville area.
Mrs. Alloway is survived by her husband, Dale of the home; sons: David, Danny and Steven
Alloway and grandchildren: Stephanie, Ian and Shawn; two brothers, Calvin and John
Nunnallee.
Preceding her in death were her parents, two sisters: Kathryn (Katie)
Milligan and an infant sister, Irene; two brother: Ross and James
Nunnallee.
