Mr. Delmar Eugene Richardson, 76, resident of Bartlesville, died at 8:55 p.m. on Saturday in the University Hospital at Oklahoma City, Okla.

Mr. Richardson was born December 18, 1923 at Coody's Bluff, Okla. to Joseph "Elzie" and Susie Emiline (Earnshaw) Richardson. He was raised and received his education in rural Nowata, graduating Nowata High School in 1942.

Mr. Richardson worked on the family farm and was employed at DuPont Power plant in Pryor. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served on the U.S.S. Sunfish stationed at Pearl Harbor until the end of the war. Mr. Richardson received his honorable discharge in 1946.

Mr. Richardson was married to Helen Maxine Bolt on February 23, 1948 at Springdale, Ark.

He began his career with Phillips Petroleum Company on April 30, 1951 and retired on June 1, 1985 as a Refinery Coordinator.

Mr. Richardson was a member of the East Bartlesville Christian Church; the Bartlesville Elks Lodge; the Nowata American Legion and the Caney Masonic Lodge and was an avid gardner.

Mr. Richardson is survived by: one daughter Jeanne Sue Kelly of Bartlesville; two grandchildren, Molly Michelle Kelly and Emily Jean Kelly both of Bartlesville; four step-granddaughters and seven step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife Helen Maxine Richardson on July 23, 1992; one stepdaughter Donna Keene and one brother Armel E. Richardson.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday in the East Bartlesville Christian Church with Mr. David Mabon and Mr. Ben Killion officiating.

Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home.
