Cecil Mae
Patterson, 86 and a former Nowata resident, left this life Saturday, November 25, 2000 in the Medicalodge of
Dewey.
Graveside services for Mrs. Patterson were held at Memorial
Park Cemetery in Nowata, on Monday, November 27 with the Reverend Rick
Thayer officiating. Interment follwed under the direction of Benjamin Funeral
Service of Nowata.
Cecil Mae began this life October 13, 1914 in Broken
Arrow as the daughter of Milton and Adaline
Sharpless Holladay. She grew up at Broken
Arrow and received her education there. She met and later was united in marriage to Raymond L. Patterson on July 6, 1932 at Broken
Arrow. The couple lived in
Tulsa for a time and later moved to Chelsea where Mr.Patterson operated a grocery store. They came to Nowata in 1949 where Mr. Patterson operated Raymond's Feed & Produce. Mrs. Patterson moved to Bartlesville in 1998. She was a member of the Full
Gospel Christian Center in Watova. Her hobbies included sewing, chrocheting, quilting and gardening.
Mrs. Patterson is survived by one son, Ronald G. Patterson and his wife Sue of Dewey; by two daughters: Joyce Ann
Jones of Bartlesville and Margueritte Sue
Linn and her husband,
Sherman of Tulsa; one sister, Garnetta
Anderson of Coweta; by eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, and by other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond on May 18, 1998; by one son: Milton Lee
Patterson, by one grandson,
Kerry W. Jones, by one son-in-law, Harry Allen
Jones, five brothers and three sisters.
