I am researching Centennial (Manuel) Williams. She was born in 1881 in Canadian Colored town and had an allotment in Tulsa. I am fairly certain that she was descended from the McGilbray's, but I cannot find proof. I have found some records at the Oklahoma Historical Society relating to her application to remove restrictions on her homestead allotment that has an extensive interview. Would appreciate connecting with descendants of Manuels/McGilbray descendants. Why the name change and is there any information about the origins of this line?
