Services for Bobby Ray Malloy, 67, were held Monday, April 22 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Brent Parsons, officiating. Interment was at the Oaklawn Cemetery under the direction of Clagg Funeral Home.
Mr. Malloy was born on Friday, October 12, 1934 in Dolberg, Okla. to Ernest Malloy and Etta McDaniels Malloy. He died Friday, April 19, 2002 in Ardmore.
On December 23, 1959 he married Jeannie Gallemore in Oklahoma City.
Mr. Malloy grew up in the Dolberg area and graduated from Roff High School. He lived in Oklahoma City until he moved back to Sulphur in 1967. He worked as parts manager for McCarley Olds & Buick for several years. He was an instructor at OSD, teaching young boys the skills of becoming an electrician. He was an avid amateur radio operator and had achieved the highest level as an operator. He served as a liaison between the military men and their families during the Persian Gulf War.
Mr. Malloy is survived by his wife, Jeannie, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Steve Coberley, Sulphur; Bobbie and Sam Lin, Plano, Texas; four grandsons, Eric and Ryan Coberley, Sulphur, Conner and Casey Lin, Plano; one sister, Ola Fay Trent, Stratford and two brothers, Berlin Malloy, Springfield, Mo. and Lowell Malloy, Sulphur.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Troy Malloy.
Pallbearers were Russell Anoatubby, Joe Keith, Gary Fullerton, Neil Mayo, J.C. Grantham and Carl Hickman Jr. Honorary pallbearers were Alan Frazier and Frank Baldwin.
