Services for Wanda Jean McDowell, 69, Sulphur were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 18 at DeArman's Clagg Funeral Home chapel in Sulphur with Rev. Willard McCartney, Jr. officiating. Interment was in Oaklawn Cemetery with DeArman's Clagg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Born December 25, 1937 in Vernon, Texas to George and Wanda Jean Moore, she died Sunday, Jan. 14 in Sulphur.

A homemaker, she married Vearl McDowell in Vernon, Texas. She had recently moved to the Sulphur area.

Survivors include a daughter and spouse, Debbie Thompson and David Pickens, Sulphur; three granddaughters, Amanda, Brandi and Misti and eight great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
