Graveside services for Helen "Virginia" Swift, 79, Davis, were held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 3 with Rev. Kevin Hanel officiating. Interment was in Green Hill Cemetery in Davis with Krien Funeral Home of Davis in charge of arrangements.
Born August 25, 1926 in Tucumcari, N.M. to Cub and Minnie (Graves) Moore, she died Wednesday, May 31.
She grew up and graduated from high school in Stinnett, Texas. In 1973, she moved to Davis from Denison, Texas. She worked in civil service for 12 years and later volunteered at Burford Manor Nursing Home as an activities' director. Due to failing health, she moved to Burford Manor in January, 1999, remaining there until her death.
She loved arts and crafts and playing cards. She attended Pentecostal Holiness Church in Davis.
Surviving are one daughter, Judy Bourne and husband, Butch, Elmore City; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Swift; one son, Kelly "Dale" Swift in 2003 and three brothers, Homer, Lloyd and Vernon Moore.
