Services for Timothy Glenn Abney, 44, Stratford, were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12 at the Faith Center Church in Sulphur with Rev. Jerry Lemley officiating. Interment followed at Abney Cemetery in Stratford with Pickard Funeral Home, Stratford, in charge of arrangements.
Born August 10, 1961 in Los Angeles, Calif., to Sue (Bullock) and Leo Glenn Abney, he died Wednesday, Dec. 7.
He married Danette Lindsay at Gainesville, Texas on May 27, 1981. A car salesman, he lived most of his life in and around the Stratford area and was a member of the Faith Center Church in Sulphur.
Survivors are his wife, Danette, of the home in Stratford; one son, Noah Daniel Abney, Ft. Leonardwood, Mo.; two daughters, Megan Lindsay Abney and Katelyn Shauna Abney, both of the home; his parents, Leo and Sue Abney, Pauls Valley; one brother, Rick Glenn Abney, Texarkana, Texas and four sisters, Sherry Gwen Abney, Texarkana, Texas, Cynthia Mauldin, Noble, Rose Cavers, Houston, Texas and Lisa Abney, Lake Jackson, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers were Bill McIntyre, Jim Shepherd, Gene Staggs, Tim Jarrell, Jeff Saunders and Brent Behrens.
