Charles "Red" Edwin Maloney

Graveside services for Charles "Red" Edwin Maloney, 83, Davis, were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 at Green Hill Cemetery in Davis with Rev. Randy Chapman officiating. Services were under the direction of Krien Funeral Home, Davis.

Born June 20, 1922, to Timothy Edwin and Luella Amelia (Schmidt) Maloney, he died November 16 in Pauls Valley.

He married Dorothy Louise Pickens on December 16, 1959 in Roundup, Mont. She preceded him in death on September 3, 2004.

He grew up in the Pueblo, Colorado area and enlisted in the Air Force in June, 1942. He served in both the North African and European Campaigns during WW II, earning three Bronze Stars. He kept a diary and photographs of the mission and of his buddies. He was deeply affected by his tours of duty for the rest of his life.

He and his wife made their home in Davis and he was a retired oil field worker.

He is survived by a son and his wife, Tim and Olivia Maloney, Ponca City; a step-son, Rickey Stanley Jones, Oklahoma City; a brother-in-law, Mike Seibert, Pueblo, Colo.; a nephew, Morgan Seibert, Pueblo, Colo.; five grandchildren, Trey, Melanie, Steven and Heather Maloney, Ponca City and Toni Baringer, Sulphur; a great grandchild, Steven Baringer., Sulphur.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Barbara Maloney Seibert and step-son, Tony Randall Jones.
