Hello, I am not related to nor do I know this family, but have some info on them as they related to the area and possibly some other Paytons of the Spavinaw, OK area. I have a list of Paytons buried in the Spavinaw-Strang cemetery that I can copy to you if you desire and email to me at OkieEddy@yahoo.com. I'm not sure of the web address of the submission of the entire cemetery listing by the late Robert Goins. I would be happy to see if there is anything else that I can help you with on area people as my in-laws were in the area since statehood and I lived at Spavinaw for a period of time with my late husband. Mrs. Lillie Payton, nee Simmons, died very suddenly at her home east of Vinita Wednesday evening, January 8. She leaves a son a week old. The remains were buried Friday in the McLaughlin cemetery near Cleora beside her sister who died a year ago. The husband, little babe, parents and brothers have the sympathy of all. [Delaware Co.]
