I'm trying to find the genealogy of Mary Ann (Polly) McMahan (or McMahon), the wife of Joshua B. Culwell of Parker Co., TX. She and Josh were my great-grandparents, the parents of my grandfather, Robert Milton Culwell. Robert M. Culwell and my grandmother, Clara Grimes Culwell Tynes (2nd husband Walter Scott Tynes), were married in Burneyville, Love Co. and lived in Marietta. Other members of my grandparents Culwell family also lived in Love Co., OK. According to her cemetery monument in Goshen, Parker Co., TX, Mary Ann was allegedly born 22 Nov 1839 and died 24 Feb 1923. I have a paper given to my grandmother in the 1960s by Culwell relatives which identify Mary Ann (Polly) "McMahan." I've been unable to find any other historical information on her, other than an 1850 Missouri census record for a Mary Ann McMahan living with the family of Samuel Fleet. Age on that census isn't consistent with birth date on her cemetery monument, but might be a clerical error. Any family information on Mary Ann McMahan (McMahon) Culwell will be greatly appreciated.
