The children and grandchildren of the Rev. and Mrs. Tom Sifford hosted a 50th wedding reception for the couple February 2, 2002.

The reception was held at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Among the guests were her aunts, Irene Manning of Marietta, Lois Dewbre of Wilson, Betty Whitley and her daughter of Alverado, Texas.

Mrs. Sifford is the daughter of Bill and Treva Nichols, who lived in Love County in their early years of marriage.
