Sarah Jane Wainscott and Silas Seth Scarborough Thornton had ten children--about whom I know:
1. R. A. Thornton, b. 1863-Texas;
2. Charlie C. Thornton, b. 1866-Texas
3. Jim M. Thornton, b. 1868-Texas. Jim walked with the aid of a cane or crutch.
4.Irzella Thamer Thornton, b. 1871-Texas. She was called Tamer. Tamer was the second wife of David Russey Weathers. Their youngest son who lived to adulthood was Richard Omer "Dick" Weathers--my late father-in-law. After the death of David Russie in 1927, Tamer lived with some of her children, hence she was living with Richard Omer and Mandy Martha (Rowland) Weathers, when she died in January, 1936. She was buried in the small Arnoldville Cemetery (no longer accessible by road) at Shady Dale, between Thackerville and Marietta in Love County, OK.
5. Thomas J. Thornton, b. 1874-Texas
6. Annis J. Thornton, b. 1876-Texas
7 Walter Thornton, b. 1878- TX; murdered by KKK in the 1920's at Caddo, Bryan County, OK
8. Annis Thornton, b. 1879-TX
9. Davis B. Thornton, b. after 1880 in TX; died in Runnels County, TX
