MARIETTA -- Services for Betty Sue McKay, 77, will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2005, at the Marietta Church of Christ with Bro. Travis Huffman officiating. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery. Arrangements will be directed by Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home, Marietta.
Born on March 11, 1928, in Enville, Okla., to Cullen and Estalene Hill Willis, she died on Thursday, July 7, 2005, at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Delbert Willis; and a daughter-in-law, Connie McKay.
A lifetime resident of Love County, she graduated from Marietta High School and did secretarial work in addition to being a homemaker. Baptized in August of 1948, she was a member of Marietta Church of Christ and American Legion Auxiliary. She and Frank McKay were married on Nov. 23, 1946, in Gainesville, Texas.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, Charles and Willis McKay, Marietta; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Lester Butler, Overbrook, and Luann and Rick McMillin, Marietta; a brother, Joe Donald Willis, Ardmore; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Bearers will be Lyndal Butler, Lance Butler, Nic McMillin, Kaysen McMillin, Steve Hartman, Steven Gwin, John Henry and Zane King. Honorary bearers are Billy Fred McKay, John Bone, Jack McGehee, Joe Bell and Ted Freeman.
