Graveside services for Ima J. Wood, 88, were Thursday, August 5, at 10:00 a.m. in Burneyville Cemetery. Officiating was her son, Jack E. Wood.

Born on January 29, 1905, in Pilot Point, Texas, Mrs. Wood died August 3, 1993, in Southern Pointe Living Center, Colbert. She was the daughter of John and Lizzie Kitchens, long-time residents of this area. She married Lum Wood on September 3, 1923, at Pike, and he preceded her in death in 1990.

Survivors include four sons, Bill Wood of Tulia, Texas, Jack Wood of Leesville, Louisiana, Charles Wood of Lillian, Texas, and Jimmy Wood of Lawton; five daughters, Lillian Devine of Enterprise, Alabama, Debbie Copelin of Sunray, Texas, Carol Krotzer of Cleveland, Eva Baggett of Tulia and Patsy Hodge of Colbert; 19 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Services were directed by Murray Funeral Home, Durant.
