Hello.
I am searching for information of one of my grandmothers, at one time she lived in Love County, I understand. Her name is Artemessa Hendricks Jackson. She was born May 15.1852 in the state of Missouri and married March 18, 1866, to Benjamin Jackson (1836 in Tennessee). I understood that she was post mistress at Overbrook, Oklahoma for a while, if I am correct. Later they moved to the Ardmore area and she died at the Masonic Home in Guthrie, Oklahoma. One of their daughters, Ida Mae Jackson, was married to Benjamin Matthew Holt. I have a lot of info on this family but I was interested in this particular era and area.
