The cemetary is run by a local association in Gowen. When I went there they didn't have any records to speak of. I'm betting, though that you can reach them by just writing to Gowen with the title "Gowen Cemetery Association"

Lynn-I am very interested in your Neathery family. Wm. Lee is in my family line. His father Milton Franklin and mother Mary Martha Baggett Neathery are family of mine in Illinois. I have been working very hard to find this family, because I would like to have some information about a brother to Milton Franklin--Joseph Neathery. He is our brick wall. I will be happy to share all I can with you from Illinois. Jan Gray

Barbara I live in Gowen and grew up here. I have just finished walking the Cambria-Gowen Cemetry and listing all marked graves. As a matter of fact my g.g. grandfather donated the land the cemetry in on. If I can help I will. LeAnn

Did your Eli H Bennett serve in the civil war? I am researching my Bennett line, I have either a 3rd Great Grandfather or 2nd Great Uncle who was also named Eli H. Bennett.
Pictures of tombstones would be greatly appreciated.

Also his son James Orthur (J.O.) is burried here. Both Eli & J.O. were Baptist preacher's. I have a copy of J.O.'s ordaination papers. Eli came here to live with J.O.'s family until the time of his death. He is the first person buried in the cemetery that J.O. gave land for. Hope some of this helps.
