KILLS HIS WIFE
Turns Gun on Himself and
Dies; Divorce Action Is
Cause of Tragedy:

BLACKWELL Okla„ Aug. 29.— (Special.)—Albert B. Johnson, 36 years
old, a cement worker shot and killed his wife. Mrs. Lena M. Johnson, 30 years old. in front of Barret's store on North Main street at 8 o'clock this morning, then shot himself in back of the head with the same revolver. Mrs. Johnson was shot in left breast and head.
Domestic troubles were given as the cause of the tragedy; Mrs. Johnson was -just about to complete papers for filing in divorce proceedings. The couple had three children, Thelma, 12 years old, Willma 10 years old and Earl 8. - They were married fifteen years ago at Clarksville, Texas, and moved here from Pawnee, .0kla., about three months ago. •
After being taken to the undertaking parlors Johnson was discovered to be alive and was sent to a hospital, but died early this afternoon.
