MRS. HORACE YOUNG and Mrs. MCWHIRTER were in town trading this week.
The cook at the H. W. FARGO’s restaurant is declared to be ‘out of sight.’
T. J. HIGHTOWER went to Belcher Sunday to hear the presiding elder preach.
MISS IDA DONNAL of Young County, Texas has secured the school at Solomon.
C. H. LOWE, Leggett & Meyer’s tobacco man, was mingling with our merchants Tuesday.
ALBERT COLBERT has the lumber on the ground for his new residence at the edge of town.
BILLY YOUNG has bought in his 13th bale of cotton. Girls, how is that for a Young man!
Section Foreman MCCURDY has purchased the residence just erected by A. J. LEO and moved his family in.
Several carloads of oats were shipped from Terral last week by our enterprising citizen, JAMES WARD.
Mr. CALDWELL, cotton buyer for MARTIN, WELLS, & FITZHUGH, bought and shipped 360 bales of the fleecy this week.
HOMER WOOD is the proud possessor of a brand new Winchester whose voice makes music to his delighted ears.
MR. BUFFORD, a Rock Island railroad man, has moved into the residence recently occupied by the family of R. L. ROGERS.
Mrs. ODELL of Sherman who has been visiting Dr. SMITH’s family for the past few weeks returned to her home Tuesday. Her many friends will miss her.
L. A. KELLEY is said to be introducing a new type of blanket--the ‘Seersucker’--all wool a yard wide and a thick enough for a pocket handkerchief.
E. T. CONKLIN, our popular lumber dealer, is adding a residence to the back end of his office.
F. N. DENNIS of Duncan is in town this week.
DR. G. W. SAWYER has a new well at his residence.
G. L. JOHNSTON of Ryan was in the city Thursday.

MANTON RALLS, one of Ryan’s enterprising merchants, was in Terral Sunday.
W. H. FEATHERSTON of Henrietta shipped 30 cars of cattle to Kansas City Monday.
DR. WILSON of Nocona was shaking hand with his many friends in Terral Wednesday.
REV. J. L. YELTON returned from conference quite sick and is still confined to his bed.
J. L. CAMPBELL and wife from near Ryan bought quite a bill of goods from SMITH & HIGHTOWER this week.
MRS. O. B. GARRISON is visiting her parents at Fleetwood this week.
F. M. BOYD’s saddle horse, BALLY, is badly floundered.
REV. J. L. YELSON, our former pastor, has been sent to Lone Grove circuit. The best wishes of his many friends go with him.
REV. L. B. STUCKY will be our pastor for the next conference year.
J. H. D. TERRAL and wife and Mrs. FLEETWOOD have just returned from Chicago where they have been attending the world’s fair and report a grand time.
WILLIAM MULLER and son of Kansas City connected with the engineering department of the Rock Island railroad spent a couple of days here this week the guests of J. H. D. TERRAL.
G. N. BLACK, grocery drummer of Bowie, Texas; T. J. COLLIER, a snuff man of Nashville, Tennessee; and J. D. MCPHERSON, a tobacco drummer of St Louis were taking orders of our business men Thursday.
REV. JOHN BRADSHAW has returned from conference and reports a pleasant time. He has been assigned to the Lynn circuit which is some distance from home and where he expects to have hard work and plenty of it.
PROF. J. V. MORRIS, the wonderful illusionist or man of mystery, will be here tonight at the F. H. LIENKAFARE big building.
Mrs. FLEETWOOD and daughter were in town trading.

BILLY NUTTING, the popular grocery drummer of Gainesville, Texas, is smiling on the Terral merchants.
F. E. MCDONALD of near Ryan took his cotton to Ryan where he was offered 6 ½ cents for it. He then brought it to Terral where he got 7.75 cents for it. Terral is the cotton market for the Rock Island.
ANTRIM & CONKLIN are still shipping in lumber.
MANAGER J. B BUCHANAN, of the Fort Worth Daily Mail gave one of his popular excursions to that city last Monday from Terral and intervening towns along this line of the Rock Island Road. The fare being only $1, a large crowd was attracted and ten coaches were required to accommodate the crowd. Some fifty or more went from Terral, among whom the reporter noticed Mr. and Mrs. IRA SEEDS, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. SCHOOLFIELD, DR. J. R. DAVIS, MRS. ODELL, O. B. GARRISON, W. A. HOLIFIELD, CHARLES JACKSON, FLETCHER WOOD, JAMES DUBOSE, D. D. SWEARINGIN, and ‘BILLY’ UELTZEN. Everybody enjoyed themselves and the excursion was evidently a success.

… a young man known as A. J. LEO was taken to Taylor County, Texas for forgery and theft… real name is said to be JOYCE… came here from Abilene, Texas sometime last spring and worked at any job he could find until he went to clerking for J. C. BRADSHAW in June. …
