You might request a lookup at the Oklahoma History Center Archives newspaper collection in Oklahoma City--from someone who lives in or near Oklahoma City. There might be something in the Waurika or Ryan paper or something in the Temple, Cotton Co., paper, or the Comanche or Duncan papers in Stephens Co., besides the Hastings paper.

As far as I know, there are no local newspaper microfilm archives in Jefferson County; the only complete source is Oklahoma History Center. The Stephens Co. paper archives for Comanche and Duncan are also at the Stephens Co. Gen. Soc.--not in the local public libraries, only the gen. soc. building.
