I am looking for the death cert. or burial place of Perryman L. Ponder. I think he died in Greer Co. Oklahoma. Does he have other family members from there? Any info would greatly be appreciated.

Perryman Lafayette Ponder is buried in the Reed Cemetery, Reed, Greer County, Oklahoma. Perryman had a twin brother name Berry. They were born 27 September 1840. Perryman died in 28 March 1916. Perryman in his later years he had purchased a tailor-made Confederate Captain's Uniform in which he was buried in.

Perryman Shumate Ponder 1839-1896 is buried in Reed,Greer Co also, but he died before the Reed cemetery was formed (1899) and was buried by the creek on his home place. He was struck by lightning while plowing in the field. They hung his hat on the fence when they picked him up and it stayed there until it rotted.
