My grandfather Wilburn Campbell, son of Willard and Mary, was born in Arnett-before it was Ellis County- in 1905. I also had several cousins (i.e. Elmer and Delmer Roach) born in the area. Does anyone have any info on these families? I am wondering if anyone stayed beind when they moved back to MO and IA around 1915 or 1916. Thank You!

There was a Campbell/Rucker Family Reunion in Arnett for many years, but I don't know whether they still have it or not. There was a Wilburn Campbell in that family, but he was younger than yours. Could be a nephew. Hazel Campbell, the widow of Wilburn Campbell, lives in Kennewick, WA at 2641 East 3rd Avenue. The ZIP is 99336. I doubt if Hazel knows about the older Campbells, but she might be able to direct you to someone who does.
