I am trying to find ANY information on Wm. A. Lemons born 1891 MO and died after 1930, who married Ada L. Stidham about 1814. She was born Aug 1889 in Laclede Co, MO. On the 1920 Craig Co, OK census they have one child, Jewel M. age 6. On the 1930 Craig Co, OK census I find Bill Lemons, widowed, with son James born about 1920/21. I would love to find more information on this Great Aunt and Uncle and if either of their children survived. Thank you.

I put the wrong year of marriage for Wm. Lemons and Ada Stidham. They married some time around 1912-1914. Ada is deceased by 1930.
Ada's mother, Susan Atchley Stidham, died in Vinita in 1909, the family having lived there a short time, coming from Lebanon, Laclede Co, MO. The father, William Penrose Stidham, returned to Laclede Co, MO with his younger children by 1914 when he remarried. Would love to exchange information with any one related to these families(Lemons, Atchley, Stidham). Thank you.

William Lemons may be a fairly common name, so I don't know that this is the same man. However, a William Lemons who lived in Craig Co., OK was the father of at least two children born in the area, Hallie Lemons Bond, born 21 Mar 1907, and Herman Lemons, born 21 Jul 1910. I believe this William Lemons died Jan 1977 while living at Miami, OK. Hallie married Albert H. Bond and was the mother of at least four children. William, Herman, and Hallie are all on the SSDI. I think this same William Lemons married Myrtle Lucille Kauffman (second marriage), and they were the parents of a daughter named Patricia Lemons. Myrtle died 1971 and is buried at Cleora, Delaware Co., OK. I don't know where William is buried.
