I am interested in finding my Grandfather; his name would be Richard or Dick B. Sofo born about 1899. The only proof I have of him ever existing are pictures and my Mother’s (Mona Jean) birth certificate she was born 6 April 1921 in Duncan, on her birth certificate it states he was from Illinois. Sometime before my Grandmother’s (Irene Leigh Ellison, Sofo Anderson) death she said he was from the Chicago area. I can’t prove they were ever married. I believe he was at Ft. Sill, OK in the Army and may have also worked at a school in Anadarko, OK but I’m not sure. The story goes he left my Grandmother before my Mother was born, my Mother died in 1975 and Grandmother in 1976.
