Thanks all for your replies. As was stated in another reply I do have some more info.

I am not sure if you can see my tree but in it I listed Nannie's maiden name as Hanes because there was some similarity but I am pretty sure it is not right.

My questions are:

What was her maiden name?
Where is she buried?
Was she Choctaw?

I know she died and is buried somewhere near what was then the Indian Territory. Charles A. was a very successful man and purchased and had installed a tombstone, I know there is a picture somewhere in my family that I am trying to get.

William R., Nannies husband moved back to Virginia(where he was born) and remarried Harriet Brown, they had no children together. William went back for the kids and took them to Va were he "farmed" them out as servants.

Nannie and William were together in 1895, I have a picture online here but I do not know the date of marriage.

I am not sure I have anymore info on either of them that would help the search, I would gladly provide any info.

I hope to find her grave and go and pay my respects, I found William in Va. As a boy I never learned about my great grandparents, it has been an enlightening search. It turns out that I had a great grandfather as the surrender of the civil war, his side lost.

I see you and others have done a large amount of research on this topic on other forums.

You have a lot more information about this family than you posted... which means volunteers like myself will spend time repeating research that has already been done.

If you post a couple of very specific questions I can check other subscription sites for you.

Her husband was

Charles A Whitworth (23 Oct 1899-)

Do you have other information you can include to help us search? Birth places, dates? What other records have you found?

There are many Choctaw records online. Where have you done research?

I am trying to find information on my grandmothers birth in order to get information on her mother.

My grandmother was Annie Geneva Whitworth
1897 - 1902
She was in Durrant, Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory in 1900 Census

I hope by finding this information it will lead me to more on my great-grand mother who was named Nannie or Nannam Whitworth, I do not know maiden name. I believe her to be Choctaw. I have her date of birth as Jan 1872 and death as Jan 1902 from a family bible.

Ida Snow was listed inthe 1930 Choctaw co OK census but I can not find her in the 1940 census. If someone has the records would you please see if you can find when and where Ida Snow died? It was probably in the 1930's. thanks, Ross

My great grandmother was Ettie Smith 1889-1971. She was born in MO (I was told)., Married Claude Gray 1910 in Choctaw Okla. , Children born in Hugo, Choctaw, Okla. I know they were in Choctaw Co from 1910-1923 with a short time in Jones co. on the 1920 Census, 1930 census was in Olney, Young, Tx till death. I found 3 photos on the back was written "To Aunt Ettie", The photo of Carl is standing by a horse, I think it may be her brother. I have no ideal who her parents or siblings were, maybe if I can locate the people in the photos it will help. Thank You

my mother and I were just talkin about Lola and Laura,how weird is that,my mother and Laura was best cousins or favorites and Lola and My aunt were fav. cousins!!
Rachel Durant's parents were,jack and sallie butler and they had a name Jewell Battiest...My mother is still living and Lola and Lauras other sisters are living also

Albert Wilkerson was my grandfather. His son Jim Wilkeron was my father. Do you know why your grandfather was a Wilkinson and my grandfather was a Wilkerson? Also, do you know if the Wilkinsons were of Indian ancestry?

Any information you have would be of interest. We met Denton and his wife one time and enjoyed them every much.

Thank You, I did not know "Uncle" Henry's children, I did meet one Called Ralph Rerbra (sp?) he passed away in the 1980's at a young age!! He was a 'wild spirit' and very likeable! All I know is he was Indian, and looked it! One of Henry's son's had a store in Boswell, Ok and as a Kid I always enjoyed the visit; free soda pop, with a big 5 cents Candy bar! Big!! One of my Grandfather's, and Henry's was Beatha Lowman (?). She is in pictures on the Angelly Family Tree!

Gene, My Dad's sister Emma Bryant was married to Henry Angelly (I was told they later divorced) and they had one son, LaNoah Angelly. He is now deceased.

Around Boswell, OK are several Angelly Families! My Uncle was Henry Angelly who married Lillie Moon, American Indian and LaNoah has a sound like a Indian Name! How ever I have heard about Angelly Relatives; Noah, Henrey Angelly.

Hi!
My mother has old family pictures of Eastman Hart, Jr, Permilla Hart Brown, Pearl Brown, George william Anderson and John Hart.
However, we do not know how we are related-if we are at all. My mother is the grandaughter of Effie Mae Hart Counts-sister to Martha Ellen Hart Counts Goforth. Martha was supposedly born on a reservation in Claremore OK. They would travel to OK often.
Please let me know if anyone has any information that might link the two families together. I would love to share the photos with whomever is interested. Thanks!

I See your were looking for info on Joshua Cecil Hubert and son Sid awhile back.
Joshua was my grandfather, born Oct 17 1858 in Seguin TX, died May 1935 in Wichita Falls. Sidney was one of 2 sons; there were 4? daughters, my mother one of them. Joshua married Mary Josephine Featherston who died in 1962.

I am just starting my tree. I have traced back, but how do I find out if my ancestry is Choctaw? I was told to find the CDIB. okay. Where is it? Where do I start looking? I know this is old but maybe we can help each other.

My grandmother was Hazel Margaret Gregory. She married James Gregory 7/7/1938. They had a son James William Earl Grady on 7/7/1939.

Up to to this point we match. I don't know where you got the rest of your information but this is where we go different ways.

Her father is Arthur Yates GREGORY (yes I have proof. Her mother was Maude Belle WILDER (again I have proof. My father is her son along with my Uncle Carl who has given me information regarding Hazel and her second husband Bram Belcher.

I would love to exchange information with you regarding this part of my family.

Oh, OK, thank you. Jake was my great-grandfather and on the census records it had listed them as his adopted daughters, that was where I took that info from. Interesting that he was their guardian for a time, my grandfather was a small child when they lived all lived together, but our family history on that side isn't always clear.

Raymond Voigt burial site??

I'm looking for the correct date of death and burial site for Raymond Voigt, the six-year-old son of Earl and Leona (Kishen) Voigt. The family had moved to Choctaw County from Grady County after June, 1927 and before April, 1930 when they were enumerated in the 1930 census in Oakes Township, Choctaw County.
One family source says that Raymond died March 14, 1933 in Soper OK. Another report in a Grady County paper (Minco), indicates that a distant relative reported to the newspaper he died March 2, 1933 in Soper.
This Voigt family left Oklahoma later in the 1930s and lived in Fresno CA. Any help with answering these questions is greatly appreciated.

There hasn't been a association booklet done in quite some times. And I know you must be a association member to get one.

hey my name is Lavon carter speers- my grand mother was rachel durant Jones. she was married to Gipson jones. My mother was lola jones she had a twin sister lora. rachel passed away in feb 1981 I was raised by rachel in Boswell. I have a cousin david wayne Wagner that is trying to reach other family members of jones decent his number is (918) 917 3136. Armstrong, Nixon, Crowe, Evans

I'm related to Susan (Armstrong) Evans, who moved from Pushmataha County to the home of her daughter Geneva Keener in Hugo in Choctaw County in the 1920's and died there in 1930. Susan's sister, Ollivia (Armstrong) Nixon also lived in Chotaw County in the 1920's at the home of her son-in-law Benjamin Crowe in Jeter.
