Sentenced to 50 Years
Chandler, Nov. 12: JEFF HARRIS, deputized federal dry raider, was given a sentence of 50 years to the state penitentiary by Judge HAL JOHNSON in district court today on a manslaughter conviction in the slaying of OSCAR LOWERY, Pottawatomie County world war veteran. Harris was convicted here two weeks ago. .. Harris also is charged with the death of JAMES HARRIS, Lowery’s brother-in-law, another world war veteran. Both were killed in the liquor raid last July on the JAMES HARRIS farm 1 ½ miles southeast of Tecumseh. W. W. ‘SNAKE’ THOMASON, federal prohibition enforcement agent who directed the raid in which the men were killed, faces trial in federal court on a charge of killing James Harris. The federal court refused to take jurisdiciton of the Jeff Harris case but retained jurisdiction of Thomason’s.

Healdton, November 12:
J. C. WOOD Sr., ERNEST WOOD, Mrs. STEADMAN STARRITT, and Mrs. W. A. REYNOLDS, who have been with their mother Mrs. NANCY WOOD at the Hardy sanitarium in Ardmore as much as possible the past two weeks, were called Friday evening again to her bedside. She passed away that evening at 8 o’clock. The body was taken to the Harvey Bros. funeral parlors where it was prepared for burial. The funeral was held from the First Christian church at Marietta Sunday afternoon and the body was laid to rest in the cemetery there. Marietta was the former home of Mrs. Wood, but for several years, she had made her home in Healdton, among her children and grandchildren.
R. E. VICKERY and J. G. SMITH went to Ninnekah last week, called by the death of Mr. Vickery’s only uncle, JOHN THORNTON. Mr. Thornton was 90 years one month old.
Mr. and Mrs. WILL GUPTON of Edinburg, Texas were guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. MCLENAHAN last week. They had been in Burkburnett, Texas wehre they attended the funeral of Mr. Gupton’s mother, then came to visit old friends here. The Guptons are former Healdton residents, but are now in Rio Grande valley where they are farming.

Loco, Nov. 12: The debating club had a trial with R. C. COLLINS, MARY FRANCIS DOUGLAS, OTIS DILLON, J. B. ANDERSON, JOYCE WILLIAMSON, TUCK PRATT, MELVIN JOHNSON, MILDRED GARRETT, Miss SANDERS, CHARLES CAMPBELL, LOIS SUTHERLAND, and BONNIE SUTTON. Mrs. S. S. GARRETT visited her daughter Mrs. LUMMIE LOWRANCE at County Line. The Loco school employed JEFF MILFORD to overhaul the gas connections, put in new lights and stove connections. JOHN DUNLAP, former O.U. basketball star and representative of the W. L. Buck Co. of Oklahoma City, paid Loco school a social and business call. Mr. L. J. GIBBS took ill with heart trouble and will be confined to her bed for two weeks. RYAMOND GIBBS of Rush Springs and Mrs. ERSIE BLEDSOE of Ronsville, Texas are here on account of their mother’s illness. KENNETH MALONE, who has been ill, returned to school. Mrs. ASHLEY H. SILLS and sons are visiting relatives in Hamilton, Texas. Coach ARTHUR KIZER represented Loco school at the Stephens athletic meeting at Duncan.

Nephew Passes Away
W. B. TUCKER, nephew of the Pauls Valley chamber of commerce received word late Sunday of the death of a nephew in the oil fields at ElDorado, Kansas and anotehr nephew was operated on appendicitis at El Dorado the same day, the boys being brothers. Tucker with his daughter Miss MARJORIE TUCKER of Oklahoma City left for El Dorado.

Body of Woman Laid to Rest
Services for Mrs. Nancy Wood at Marietta
Healdton, Nov. 13: A large number of the Rebekahs, Odd Fellows, members of the First Christian and Methodist churches, neighbors and friends attended the last rites for Mrs. Nancy Wood at Marietta Sunday afternoon. The body was taken from the Harvey Bros. fuenral home in Ardmore to the First Christian church at Marietta where the services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. E. W. SCHENK. Collier Bros. of Healdton had charge of the burial services. Relatives attending were: Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Mrs. NANCY WOOD was born July 25, 1850 at Somerset, Casey Co., Kentucky. She was married to H. S.WOOD and 12 children were born of the union. The young couple moved to eastern Kansas later to Booneville, Texas. They moved to Bowie, Texas where their children grew up. Their last move was to Marietta where they became charter members of the First Christian church… Here with their children around them they lived happily until the death of Mr. Wood 12 years ago, then Mrs. Wood made her home with her daughter Mrs. Steadman Starritt. She was as a mother to three grandchildren and BATES WOOD looked to her as a mother from the time when his motehr died when he was six weeks old…

Loco, Nov. 13: DARRELL MALONE, who is working in the Federal Reserve bank at Oklahoma City, is home on a holiday. Miss MILDRED HIGHTOWER, who has been at school at Edmond, is home and will not return until the next semester. Miss GENE JOHNSON returned from Edmond where she has been in school. Miss Johnson will teach school in the Willow Springs school for the remainder of the term. She had as her guests, MARVELLE COOK, her cousin from Duncan. Miss Cook will teach school at Asphaltum a few miles south of Loco. Miss EMMA PORTSCHY, formerly of Loco, and S. R. SCOTT of Oklahoma City, were married at Oklahoma City recently. Miss Portschy taught in the Loco school for three years and has many friends here.

Marietta, Nov. 15:
Mrs. CHARLES E. KIMSEY, age 35, died at the family home here Sunday afternoon after a brief illness. Her death was a shcok to the community as she was one of the most beloved women in the cuonty. She was an active member of the Baptist church, a devoted wife and loving mother… Besides her devoted husband and three young daughters, THEO, ARIA and CHARLEEN, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. MELVIN SHELLENBERGER of Wilson, two sisters Mrs. I. C. BURCH and Mrs. W. J. FAREMR of Ardmore. The services were held at the First Baptist church Monday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. LEMUEL HALL, assisted by Rev. J. M. TRUITT of Whitewright, Texas and E. L. SMITH of Healdton. Interment was at Lake View cemetery.
Mrs. E. R. MCKIBBEN, age about 36 years, died at the family home in Love’s Valley Saturday. She is survived by her husband and two small children. The funeral was held at Lake View cemetery Sunday afternoon, conducted by Rev. LEMUEL HALL.
W. T. MCCARTY and family were called to Tioga, Texas Wednesday to attend the funeral of his brother, Dr. JOHN MCCARTY, a pioneer physician.

Eight New Indictments Returned
Eight new indictments, including one of murder against ANDY COMBS, negro bootlegger, were turned over the court by the county grand jury. ..Combs is alleged to have slain WILLIE GIBSON, his cellmate, in the county jail Nov. 2 Combs is in jail serving a liquor law violation at the time. ..

Trapper Doing Excellent Work
MELVIN PHILLIPS, government trapper, making his headquarters on the FRED CHAPMAN ranch north of Springer since August, has killed 38 wolves, one bobcat and several coons… skinned and sent to state headquarters at Oklahoma City. Phillips and his wife occupy a small house close by the ranch headquarters where all his preparations to lure the wily coyote and wolf are compounded… ..the government furnishes only traps. From his salary, the trapper must purchase everything..

Mannsville, Nov. 16: Miss EDITH HARRIS, teacher in the second and third grades of Mannsville school, spent last weekend with her parents at Madill. Miss GWENDOLYN BOWERS vistied at Tishomingo. Mrs. MAMIE DEATON, principal of Lone Grove high school, who has been at home here with her father, H. M. HOLLINGSWORTH while repairs were being done on the school building, resumed her work this week.

Aged Man Dies at Lee McBurnitt Home
W. S. WALKER, age 85, died at the home of LEE MCBURNITT, 118 A St SW, Saturday afternoon after an illness of more than a year. Walker has resided in Ardmore for a number of years and had many acquaintances here. He is survived by several children living in Oklahoma City. Pending their arrival, no arrangements have been made by Harvey Bros. funeral home.

Healdton Man Had to Struggle
Healdton, Nov. 16: In Z. A. BROWN, a farmer living northwest of Healdton, Carter county has one of its most successful farmers who has made a success in that industry despite the hard knocks he ahs received. Brown was born in Barlow County, Georgia in 1858. During the Civil War, his father was killed and his mother was left to support six children. She had no home and was unable to make a living so they were thrown into the world independently to make a living. Tired of moving about, Brown moved to Indian Territory, married and settled on leased land. As the country filled up with settlers and the Indians were persuaded to allot their land and sell the surplus, he bought a farm of 80 acres. To do this, he had to borrow $100. He paid the amount at the end of the year and that was the only money he ever borrowed. Then he found that his family was too large to live well on what he would make on 80 acres and he bought another 80 acre tract.

He has large orchards of pears, peaches, plums, berries, grapes and apples. He bought a sorghum mill and made molasses. He raised all the peanuts and popcorn his family could use. He raised Irish and sweet potatoes and all the vegetables his family used. While his children were at home to help, he raised corn, cotton, millet, oats, cane, kaffir, besides chickens, hogs, cows and horses. …

Madill, Nov. 16:
Mrs. E. L. MOORE Dies
Word was received here this week of the death Monday of Mrs. E. L. MOORE who died in El Paso, Texas. Death was from meningitis. Mr. and Mrs. Moore were pioneer residents of Madill, having lived here when the city was its infancy. Moore was in business here prior to statehood and later for ten years was Ford dealer in Madill. A daughter-in-law, Mrs. LOWELL MOORE of Old Mexico, is visiting Mr. and Mrs. C. A. LONES here.

Wynnewood, Nov. 15
Funeral services were held at Sulphur Monday afternoon for EMMA LOUISE NOBLE, 9 years old, who was killed Sunday morning three miles south of Wynnewood when she leaned against the door of the car in which she was riding and fell to the pavement, cauing a concussion of the brain. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. ELLIS NOBLE of Sulphur and in company with Mrs. Noble, Mrs. SAM MORELAND and Mrs. MCNALLY, wife of the Methodist minsiter, were on their way to Oklahoma City to attend the West Oklahoma conference.

Mr. and Mrs. C. F. COONROD observed their 16th wedding anniversary Monday evening with a turkey dinner, a center piece of asters presented to Mrs. Coonrod from her husband and daughter MILDRED. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. A. S. CAMERON, MARY, MARGARET, KATHERINE, and ALLAN CAMERON, Mrs. S. A. MCSPADDEN and Mrs. ROLAND MASON of Norman.
Couple Surprised
Mr. and Mrs. A. H. FERGUSON were happily surprised when their children, Mr. and Mrs. O. D. FERGUSON, Mr. and Mrs. D. E. FERGUSON, Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Visit in Alaska
Mrs. ZADIE CRAIG will leave for Seattle, Washington where she will take the steamer for Valdez, Alaska to visit her sister. Mrs. Craig is employed by the Southwestern Bell Telephone co., which granted her a leave of absence. Miss ELVIA WHITAKER will fill her place.

Jersey dairy cattle, Duroc Jersey hogs, and Red Poll beef cattle constitute a trio that is hard to beat, according to J. R. PENNINGTON, former wholesale groceryman, now exclusive farmer.

Wirt, Nov. 15: Mr. and Mrs. A. R. PARKER were called to Pine Bluff, Arkansas Friday by the death of his sister, Mrs. W. H. JOHNSON. The funeral was held Sunday and Mr. dn Mrs. PARKER returned with a niece, Miss CHRISTIE JOHNSON for an extended visit. Mrs. ALICE DARBY of Washington, Kansas has come for an extended visit with her daughter, Mrs. LEWIS SCARBROUGH and Mr. Scarbrough.

Pauls Valley, Nov. 16: Miss LOUISE HUFF and C. GRAY ELKINS were married Nov. 7 at McMinnville, Tennessee where they will make their home. Miss Huff is the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. A. H. HUFF who formerly lived here when he was pastor of the First Baptist church.

Deputy Killed Woman
Wewoka, Nov. 18: JACK CAMPO, Seminole county deputy sheriff, late last night, shot and killed Mrs. EMMA VANNOY, age 32, of Cromwell, when whe came to the door of the Camp home at Cromwell and failed to reveal she was a friend of the Camp family. Believing the woman was a robber when she did not say who she was, Camp fired through the door. … JOHN VANNOY, son of the slain woman, said his mother had gone to the Campo home to get the officer to go after a doctor to attend a woman who was ill at the Vannoy home. .. Campo, about 35 years old, has a wife and three small children. He formerly was deputy sheriff in Carter county under Buck Garrett. Before going to Carter county, Campo was a Texas ranger.

Caddo Farmer Dies
Caddo, Nov. 18: HARVEY HULL, age 38, a farmer, died today of injuries received last night when his roadster went off the road about 6 miles north of here. After the accident, Hull walked unaided to a nearby farm house, said he didn’t think he was seriously hurt. A few hours later he died. Hull, unmarried, lived about 12 miles east of Caddo.

Killed, Jailed
CURTIS CHERRY, age 25, negro, was shot and almost instantly killed Sunday night at the home of ALICE HOLMES at 529 C St SW. CHARLES WILLIAMS, age 3, negro, is being held… Cherry worked for the Colvert Bros. plant. Williams works at odd jobs about town.

Healdton, Nov. 18: BEN JONES moved his family to Maud. Mrs. JONES’ sister, Miss LOUISE MCDONALD, who has been making her home here, went to Shawnee where she will live with another of her sisters and attend school.

Lone Grove, Nov. 18: School began here last Monday, due to incompletion of the school building, the Masonic hall and churches have been secured fro conducting school.

Funeral for WINFIELD S. WALKER
Funeral services were held for WINFIELD S. WALKER, age 83, who died Saturday at home, 118 A St SW, were held Monday morning from Harvey Bros. chapel by Rev. O. T. MARTIN of the Carter Ave. Methodist church. Burial was at Rose Hill cemetery. Walker is survived by a son R. S. WALKER and a daughter Miss JANIE WALKER.

Tishomingo, Nov. 18
Child Dies at Sulphur
Little ANN BAUGHMAN, age 11, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. BAUGHMAN of Tishomingo, died Tuesday afternoon. She was born Nov. 5, 1918 at Sulphur. While only ten months of age, she was stricken with infantile paralysis which left her an invalid. Mr. and Mrs. BAUGHMAN and children came from Edmond and he assumed managership of the Corey Lombard Young & Co. yard. Two daughters, JULIA and BETTY, are attending Tishomingo highs school.
Barndale Couple Wedded
Sunday afternoon at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. NEWMAN, Miss EMMA FRASIER and ROBERT HALE of Barnsdale were married by Rev. OSCAR FONTAINE of the First Methodist church.

Man Develops Farm near City
35 acres of land southeast of the city limits that cost R. L. SCOTT $5000 in money and a lot of hard work has developed into a property that its owner would not step off from today for $25,000 in cash.. Early in 1913, Scott purchased 20 acres of this land that was in timber, paying $100 per acre. His initial payment was to be for $150, but he lacked $50 of having enough to meet it. Grandfield Man Finds Wife Dead
Grandfield, Nov. 18: Aroused by the cries of an infant born last Thursday, C. F. CRAWFORD went to his wife’s bed early today to find her dead. Physicians said a heart attack caused death. She was the mother of ten children.

Two Killed at Pooleville
L. O. MAJORS and Son Attack Five Looting Store; Three Escape
One of dead identified as WALTER GINN, son of JOHNNY GINN, veteran Carter county peace officer, who now lives in Seminole county. Second identified as MAX L. LIVENGOOD, age 25, of Seminole; A brother and his father-in-law arrived to identify Livengood who had a wife and other relatives at Seminole.

Wearied by repeated burglaries at their general store, L. O. MAJORS, pioneer storekeeper and postmaster of Pooleville, and his son WALLACE MAJORS, Tuesday morning, took the law in their own hands and administered swift and terrible justice to a band of burglars whom they caught in the store… (long article)

J. MAX STONE Dies in Texas
J. MAX STONE, age 55, died of heart failure at Mineola, Texas. The body will be brought here and funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at Harvey Bros. chapel. Mr. Stone is survived by his widow, two daughters, Mrs. T. M. DICKSON of Healdton, and Mrs. FLOYD WEBB of Ardmore, one granddaughter JO ANN WEBB; three sisters, Mrs. A. L. KIMBRIAL of Durant, Mrs. JOHN WILLIAMS of Farmersville, Texas and Mrs. AMANDA MARTIN of Hamilton, Texas. Mr. Stone made his home in Ardmore many years and the two daughters were employed with the Ardmoreite. Mrs. Webb, formerly Miss IONE STONE, was bookkeeper for this paper, and Mrs. Dickson, formerly Miss FAY STOEN, was in the classified department.

Leads to Arrest
Arrest of MARION WILLIAMS, age 20, at Seminole, who, officers say, admits he was the third member of the burglary band which made a fatal mistake to loot the Majors’ general store at Pooleville… brother-in-law of MAX L. LIVENGOOD, age 24.

Livengood’s body will be taken to Duncan, his former home, for funeral services, arranged by his brother and his father-in-law.

Funeral services for Ginn, who was reared in Carter county, will be Thursday afternoon at the Harvey Bros. chapel. Rev. MAURICE A. COOK of the Emmanuel Baptist church will officiate. Interment will be in Provence cemetery where his mother is buried. His sister, MILDRED GINN, who lives in Ardmore, identified the body.

Eastland Folk Lynch Slayer of Texas Officer
Eastland, Texas, Nov. 20: Deputy sheriff TOM JONES, wounded by MARSHALL RATLIFF, bank robber, who was lynched here last night, died in a hospital this morning…Ratliff’s death leaves one of the four Cisco bandits alive. ROBERT HILL, sentence to 90 years, escaped from the state prison farm. HENRY HELSM was electrocuted and I. E.DAVIS fatally wounded in the bank robbery battle.

Cupid Loses Out to Death
Waurika, Nov. 20: HENRY UPTERGROVE, 40, of Bridgeport, Texas was killed and Miss GWENDOLYN YORK, 26 of near Waurika, his fiancee, was injured in an automobile accident last night two miles north of here on U. S. No. 81. They were to have been married today. Miss York, daughter of a farmer near here, was brought to a hospital here where her condition is not dangerous…

Youth to Rejoin Family in California
Claremore: CLYDE JESSERMAN, age 11, the boy who became separated from his family through fear of wild Indians, will leave here for Pasadena, California to rejoin his father, stepmother, brother and sister. Five weeks ago the boy and family were en route to California by motorcar. When the car stopped for repairs, the boy saw a highway policeman. He thought him a robber and ran. When he returned, his family was gone. His father, CLYDE JESSERMAN, yesterday sent instructions for the boy to come to him at Pasadena. ..

Duncan Man Held for Trail
Duncan, Nov. 20; CLAUD CHEVES of Duncan will stand trial on a charge of assault with intent to kill JIM BROWN, deputy sheriff of Stephens county… CURTIS ROGERS said Cheves offered him $1500 to kill the deputy. Rogers was he was the assailant who shot and wounded Brown from an auto. The car was driven by GEORGE SUITOR, a farmer, who has not been apprehended. Two bombings were pictured in the background….because Brown had arrested Cheves and C. C. KNIGHT for dynamiting the car of WILLIAM ENLOW, a farmer, and robbery of C. C. GOODE, filling station operator. The dynamiting of Enlow’s car followed bombing of the home of W. A. WILLIAMS before he assumed office as sheriff.

Tulsa: VELMA SKAGGS, age 8, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. A. SKAGGS of Tulsa, died from injuries received in an motor car accident.

Marietta Man Dead
WILL H. BURCH, age 62, died at the family home in here Friday morning, Nov. 14, after an illness of several months. The funeral services were Saturday afternoon conducted by Rev. W. J. STEWART of the Methodist church. Mr. Burch was truly a pioneer citizen, having come here from Georgia while in his teens, settling at old Arnoldville, about 5 miles southwest of Marietta, where the first post office in what became Love county was established. He moved to Marietta when the town was laid off by the coming of the Santa Fe RR, and opened the first barber shop, an occupation he followed until a few months ago when his health failed. He was a good man and respected by all who knew him.. He furnished two sons, WALDO and RALPH, for the world war, both of whom made the supreme sacrifice on the battle fields of France and buried there. He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Mrs. GEORGE MILLER, Mrs. VIVIAN WILSON and Miss MARY BURCH, and a number of relatives and friends.
Mrs. POLLARD Dead
Mrs. FANNIE POLLARD, age 84 years, died Friday night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. S. HOLLOWAY, who resides about a mile northeast of town. She had been ill for some time. The funeral was held at Sanger, Texas Saturday afternoon.

Carter county’s grand jury returned 30 true bills and one accusation asking removal from office of BILL WOMMACK, constable of North Graham township. .. Wommack, according to the accusation, employed BILL GREEN to purchase for him one pint of whiskey then said Green transported the whiskey to Wommack. Wommack failed to arrest Green for transporting the whiskey..

John Ginn Seriously Ill at Seminole Home
Relatives of WALTER GINN, who was shot and killed days ago, explained Thursday that JOHN GINN, father of Walter and former peace officer of Carter county now in Seminole, was unable to attend his son’s funeral because of illness.

Accused of Slaying Civil War Veteran
Bristow, Nov. 21: CARL BALLOU, 30, of Depew, was arrested at Milfay, southwest of here, by county officers in connection with the fatal shooting of W. A. MOULTON, civil war veteran, in an attempted robbery of his home last August. Officers arrested TRUIT REAVIS, Depew youth, soon after the shooting and he has been in the county jail since.

Ramsey Life Sentence
Pawhuska, Nov. 21: JOH RAMSEY, former cowboy of the ranges of the Osage hills, sentenced to life in his third trial for the slaying of HENRY ROAN, Osage Indian. W. K. HALE, ‘king of the Osage hills’ because of his extensive cattle interests, was convicted last winter and sentenced to life for his connection with Roan’s death… Hale gave Ramsey an auto and $500 to bring about Roan’s death so that Hale would collect $25,000 life insurance policy he had on Roan.

Funeral for Pioneer Citizen
Funeral services for GEORGE W. SMITH, 70, shoemaker and pioneer citizen of County Line, who died Thursday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. GEORGE VINEYARD of Berwyn, will be held Friday afternoon at the daughter’s home with interment at Berwyn cemetery. Mr. Smith had been ill for some time and all his immediate survivors were present at the time of his death. Those surviving him are his wife, Mrs. MATTIE SMITH, and five children, Mrs. GEORGE VINEYARD and WATLER SMITH both of Berwyn, Mrs. W. V. SENTER of Ardmore, Mrs. CHARLES E. VINEYARD of Seminole and JASPER N. SMITH of Farr, Texas.

Oil Worker Crushed
Oklahoma City, Nov. 21: WILLIAM JACKSON, age 22, was crushed to death and WILLIAM SLOAN, age 21, suffered a smashed foot and probably a broken right leg in an accident in the Oklahoma City oil field today. Jackson’s home was at Okarche, Sloan formerly at Tonkawa.

Five Killed as Train Hits Car
Jacksboro, Tenn., Nov. 21: W. H. METZLER, a coal miner, his wife, two daughters and a son were killed instantly when their auto was struck at a railroad crossing by a Louisville and Nashville passenger train en route from Knoxville to Corbin, Ky.

Fatal Wreck Probed
Oklahoma City: Investigation of the motor care accident near Newcastle last night in which, Mrs. W. R. BROWN, age 27, of Holiday, Texas, was injured fatally, and LEONARD DERRICK of Wichita Falls, Texas was seriously hurt, was started today. … O. L. WILSON, age 30 of Iowa Park, Texas, another passenger in the auto,… in jail.. Claiming Mrs. Brown was at the wheel…

Mrs. Foley Dead
Mrs. P. T. FOLEY of Parsons, Kansas, died there last Thursday afternoon after several weeks of illness. Mrs. Foley was a resident of Tishomingo several years ago before her marriage to Mr. Foley some 20 years ago. She was 40 years old and survived by her husband and several near relatives who live in Parsons.
Taken to Penitentiary
BUD HARRISON, convicted for first degree burglary, and MOSE WILSON, same offense, were taken to McAlester.

One Killed, Seven Hurt in Oil Fire
Wewoka, Nov. 21: DELMAR PATE, age 22, died in a hospital here today of injuries received in a gas well fire on the Skelly lease near St. Louis, an oil town in Pottawatomie county. Other men, CECIL JEROME and OTTO ZANDER, were injured and in the hospital. Five other men were injured: A. HUTCHINSON of Maud, a driller; TOM TRUESDALE, 48; CLAUDE GRIFFIN, 24, and W. DUGAN and H. H. JACKS.

JIM DORRIS Passes
JIM DORRIS, age 75, died Wednesday night at the county home. His body is at the Bettes funeral home pending arrival of a son.

Driver of Death Car Faces Trial
Oklahoma City: O. T ARMOR, age 30, arrested after an auto accident which Miss JO ANN BLACK, age 27 of Holliday, Texas, was killed, will face a charge of manslaughter. He first gave his name as O. L. Wilson of Iowa Park, Texas, but said his name was Armor after O. D. LASLEY, operator of an apartment house, identified him… Miss Black’s body was held pending arrival of her mother, Mrs. INA BLACK of Wink, Texas. W. R. BROWN of Holliday, Texas stated the young woman, first named as his wife, stated she was his housekeeper.
