I think her mother was Mary Francis Shadden.I don't know who her father is. Ethel married Charlie W Reese 12/8/1912 in Chance, Oklahoma. Any information anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

Henry B. (Hank) Taylor left for Heaven Thursday, Oct. 22, 2009, after a valiant month-long fight with pneumonia.

Hank was born Feb. 15, 1927, in Westville, Okla., to John S. Taylor and Bessie Edwards Taylor. He served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during WWII and in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Taylor retired from Louisiana Pacific as head rig sawyer. He was known for his can-do attitude, amazing green thumb and enormous generosity. A favorite saying was, "You can take the man out of the Marines, but you can't take the Marines out of the man." He married Jeanie Kanady (his wife of 62 years) in Visalia, Calif. June 21, 1947.

He leaves behind his wife Jeanie; and his only child, Sandy Cathcart (husband Cat), of Prospect, Ore.; five grandchildren, Julius Cathcart, Anchorage, Alaska, Robert Cathcart, Temecula, Calif., Michelle Clarno, Vancouver, Wash., Clay Cathcart, Medford, Ore., and Jocelyn Cathcart, Central Point, Ore.; fourteen great-grandchildren (all of whom he dearly loved); and one sister, Colleen Sharp, Tulsa, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Marie; and brother Orville.
A memorial service will be held at Memory Gardens Chapel, Medford, Ore., 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 27, 2009.

I am told she was born in the Oklahoma territory (this is also what it says on her Death Certificate) about 1884.

Her mother died when she was very young.

I have connected her as being the neice of Martha Wagnon Hundley.

From there, I found your post.

I only have one child listed for James Marion Tittle and Annie Henrietta Prater: Annie Elizabeth. She was the one who married the Sheehan.

Annie E. Tittle, married second to Patrick Philander/Phylander Fleming. He was born 4 May 1848 Palmyra, Marion Co, MO, died 22 Feb 1927.
The children I have listed for them is:

I just recently came in contact with a family member who had pictures of Sheehan's and Fleming's. I knew that I had family that married into the Fleming's and Bigknife's but the Sheehan's I did not know about. What daughter married the Sheehan?
I have pictures of most of the children of James M and Annie H. Tittle.

Lewis C. McKay, married to your dbl. great grandma, M.L. Wyell (Mariah Lovena?), is my triple great grandfather. Their oldest son, Quenton, is my double great grandfather. Nathan Renshaw West was my great-great-great grandfather. He was the son of Thomas S. West and Elizabeth Summers. There is a great article from the Westville Reporter,(OK)dated 3 Nov. 1983,titled The Wests of West Mountain by Virgil Talbot. He sent a copy of the article to my mom when she was doing her history.

Marriage records are skimpy in Olka because of it not being a state and still under Indian authority. Jennie the daughter of Noah Robison and Susan Bradford married an Indian man . I have looked for a marriage record but it is not available. I am not sure if this is the aunt you are looking for. Let me know and I can give you the info I have

I too am looking for this John Davis (b. 1843 MO.) The 1910 Snohomish, Washington Census noted his parents were born in Pennsylvania.

Daughter Elsie Davis married Lacey Kelly.
Son Oney Davis married Sue Morris
Son Virgil V. Davis married Mary Kelley

Have no information before 1910 on the Davis family.

Charles Albert LANIER, born 16 June 1885, died 6 September 1943 in Adair Co., OK, buried in Westville Cemetery. His wife was Ida Pearl PAYNE, daughter of Henry Wilson PAYNE and Sarah Emma HAYES. She was born 17 November 1886 (according to SSDI) in Caldwell Co., NC, died June 1970 in Adair Co., OK (from SSDI). Want to know three things:
(1) Is she buried with her husband Charles LANIER in Westville Cemetery (she is not listed with him on Find a Grave)?
(2) Did she remarry after Charles's death, and if so, whom did she marry?
(3) What is her complete date of death?

I forgot to tell you.. My great great great grandmother was Nancy(Nannie) Crittenden. My great great grandfather was Johnson Crittenden Pathkiller.
I don't have much on Nancy Crittenden, but I will check with my mom and see what info she has on Crittenden or where she got that info.

I plan to do more research in that area this summer. I am a teacher and we get out of school in 2 more weeks, so I will get back with you in a few weeks and let you know what i found. I am going to visit the Proctor school house next Tuesday for a lunch, if you can give me some names and dates of birth or any more details I can ask some of the peoople there.
By the way, I live in Locust Grove and there are several Phillips and Pierce in this area.

I would be very interested in info. on Crittenden in Adair county.

My g-g-grandmother was Sarah Crittenden. First husband was a Phillips, second husband was a Pierce.

She, along with some Phillipses and Pierces, is buried in Foreman cemetery in Westville, OK.

I'd like more info./leads on her parents.

may be too late, but I have recently been to whitmire cemetery or so I was told it was the whitmire cemetery, there is no sign with name. I live very close to Proctor, OK and have alot of family there. If I can help, let me know. I have seen several Ketchers, Whitmires, Hummingbirds, Wrights, Martins, Walkingstick, Wolfe, Crittenden, Bradford, Reese, and more in several rural cemeteries around Proctor area. My family is Kindle, Hubbard, Pathkiller from the area. Let me know if I can help you.

indian agency in cookson hills area

Anyone heard of an indian agency building down in the cookson hills area...my grandmother states she used to have to register when she was a child and the building burn down..her mother told her they were free from the gov ????
