I understand Adair County dates back to the Trail of Tears. I also understand that it was named after John Watts, a Cherokee Chief. I am very interested the Ballard Township. I am trying to find out what school my relative would have attended during this time. Was there a local school like Watts High School? Or a school house, etc?

I am interested in all grade levels from 1900 - 1921 and 1884 - 1890s.
