I don't know where he is buried, but you might want to check with officials in Aurora, Oregon to see if there was some sort of permit needed to transport a body out of state. If there was, it might list the name of the cemetery (or at least a city).
Other avenues you might want to check is to find him in the 1900 census. If he was in Ohio, start looking in that county's cemeteries.
If he was a veteran, he should be listed in the Ohio Graves Registration. They are on microfilm at the Ohio Historical Society and can also be rented through local LDS Family History Centers.
