FORD FAMILY OF MAUMEE OH

Surnames: Ford, Benton
Family folklore says that our branch of Fords supposedly came originally from County Cork, Ireland. It also says that Ford Street in Maumee was named after this family. I am fuzzy on the fathers name but mothers name was Margaret. Two of the daughters were Margaret and Lilly (not sure if this was short for something). This would be around the turn of the century time frame. Daughter Margaret married a man named Benton. She was rumored to have been born in Cook Co., IL but we cannot find any proof.

Help? Any of this sound remotely familiar to any Fords out there?
Thanks, Jacki

Ford Street is Maumee, OH is so-named as it led directly down to a place in the Maumee River where the river could be forded (crossed in shallow water); it is not a "family name".
