Well, since you're volunteering...

Any information on the Pattin family from the early 1800's?

I have the early marriage records, but I'm having trouble connecting them. I think the original Pattin family members came from Maryland to Washington County, Ohio around 1800, or just before.

First generation Pattin's from the early marriage records:

Pattin, William to Harden, Mary 1800-Jun-7
Pattin, Richard to Wells, Sally 1805-Jul-20
Pattin, Thomas to Cole, Nancy 1814-Jul-13 (Nancy died in 1824) (Pattin, Thomas to Herrin, Susanna 1825-Nov-11) (Pattin, Thomas to Mayhew, Sarah 1832-Aug-2)
Pattin, Nancy to Nogle, Isaac 1800-Aug-12
Pattin, Rebeckah to Chevinston, John 1806-Apr-6

Second generation Pattin's from later records:
Pattin, Mary b Sept, 18, 1808
Pattin, Richard b 1806
Pattin, Owen b 1811
Pattin, Eleanor b 1800

I'd really appreciate anything you could do, or any ideas you have.

Thanks
Mark

Hi Steve

Thanks!

I'm looking to find out who his father was, or how the early Pattin/Patten family was organized. How are the Pattin's in the early marriage records related to each other, and who are the parents of the second generation listed.

Thanks
Mark Leas

The early marriage records only show the two parties & the date of marriage. I can not find any further information on the Pattin family other than what I have already sent to you. The censys records before 1850 do not show names of family members other then the head of the household.

I'm sorry, I must have misunderstood. I thought you were located there in Washington County and were volunteering to do some leg work through records stored locally (offline).

Thanks for your help.

I do live in Washington County & I did check with the local records at the genealogy library. The information is all that they had on these people.

I'm in need of "proof" that John Bigelow died 12 Jul 1884 in Marietta. If you can secure a copy of his death certificate (or death record) I will gladly reimburse you for the costs involved. Thanks for all you do for others!
