Thank you for your reply. You have explained why different years I did not find a census. If you look at my public family tree, I do have the members in my family that you put down. My big mystery is who is the father of Isaac and which Garner's are his cousins. So that is interesting that prior to 1850 even females were called heads of house. I appreciate the help. If you look at my great grandmother, Janie Rowena Garner (Wellmeier), I had attached the death record in Ohio. She died of ovarian cancer on 13 September, 1926. Her daughter, Evelyn, my grandma, lived to be 97 years old. Thanks again. Sandra
