I recently found my great grandfathers grave at Pleasant Hill Cemetary-Ross Cty Adelphia Ohio Joseph B Shirkey. He would be my mothers grandfather. Her name was Ethel Moore Young.Her mother was Clarissa Jane Shirkey Moore. I just started gathering info so I don't have alot to go on.

My great grandmother is probably Ethel Moore Young's sister. Her name is Lucy Ella Moore Mathias Bauman.
Clarissa Shirkey and Miles Moore were her parents and Joseph Shirkey Clarissa's father.

I forgot, my great grandmother Agnes Miller Cook Moore had also divorced her first husband Jacob Cook and married Arthur Moore who was my greatgrandmother Lucy's brother tieing both sides of my ancestors together, they had one child Arletta who passed at a very young age I have a photo of Agnes and Arthur Moore standing in front of a care with Arletta between them. and I also have a photo of Arletta by herself, she would be a Moore also. I also have a copy of an old school photo which has Edgar Moore in it about age 6-8?? I do have Joseph B Shirkey's last residence in Pickaway County I have 3 ancestors back from him in my file.

I am so excited to hear of all the info you have on the Shirkey Family. Clarissa was my grandmother and my mother was Ethel Anis Moore Young. My phone is 653-3924 if at all possible would you call me. I looked for your number in the phone book but couldn't find it.

My name is Rita and since I no longer have any siblings left my cousin Helen and I would love to see pictures or maybe have some copied. She and I just found Joseph B Shirkey's grave. Pleasant Hill Church says Elizabeth is buried next to John Shirkey and that is puzzling to us. I'm not sure how to contact you.
