I am researching the Conrad Brandt family who came from Somerset Co. Penn. to Ohio around 1820, then to Winneshiek County, Pleasant Township, Iowa in the 1850's. This is some of what I have:

Conrad Brandt b. about 1799 in Somerset Co. PA d. 1870's
( first marriage) to: Magdalene Rhinehart from Coshocton Co. Ohio & married in Tuscarawas Co. Ohio.
children: John S., Eli, and Joseph C. (all three born in Ohio)

( second marriage) to: Martha Hochstetler, in Winnesheik Co., Pleasant Twp., Iowa
children: Henry, Manuel, Martha, and Nancy J.


Eli Brandt (Conrad’s son) b. about 1830 d. unsure
married: Catherine Hochstetler b. June 20, 1834 d. June 22 1898
children: Willis (died in infancy), Jeremiah (died in infancy), Henry Jefferson, Josephine, Ardelia, Susan, Jacob, and Charles M.
