Dear Moria,
I am adding your ancestor's name to the subject line, to increase the possiblity of your relatives finding you.
I have found quite an interesting piece about George Perkins and Frances E. Anderson in Joseph Green Butler's History of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley, Volume 2. You can access it on Google Books and it is on page 282 of the book. You can contact me off-list if you need help finding it.
Perkins was the Superintendant of the Youngstown Steel Company for twenty years and quite prominent in the community. He married Frances Anderson and they had three children. The son died at only 19, and the second daughter, Mary married Arthur Purnell of the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. and they had one daughter, Martha Frances Purnell.
The youngest daughter of George and Frances was Dorothy Frances Perkins, listed in the 1930 census living with her father and their housekeeper.
I'm sure you can find more information on these daughters.
You're going to have fun researching this family -- keep us posted!
Kind regards,
Nancy Fredenberg
