(11 Feb 1831) "I Bliss HART of Brookfield, county of Trumbull and state of Ohio, not enjoying good health, yet of sound mind and memory by the good providence of God have made and do hereby make the following disposal of the property which God in his great goodness has made me the steward of, first, I give my soul and body to the author of my being, praying fervently that at the final hour He will enable me to submit to His will in all things, which may He grant for Christ's sake, Amen. Item 1st: I give to my four sons, Orenus, Bliss, Levi and Oliver E. HART, all my wearing apparel in equal shares, in quality and quantity. I also, give to the said sons equally, all the right, title and interest I have or ought to have, in or to a certain tract of land on which Elija FLOWER now lives, and contains about twenty acres, is bounded West on highway North on Asa BURTON, East and North on the assigns of Samuel HINCKLEY, there being a mortgage on the said land of $300.00 to the said HINCKLEY, there is now due me for the use of said land about thirty six dollars. To Amanda REED, Rosalinda PECK and Mellisendra HART, Orenus HART, Bliss HART Jr., Levi HART, and Oliver E. HART, I give the seven notes last due which I hold against Elija FLOWER. The said notes are dated at Brookfield on the tenth day of March A.D. 1828. They are to cast lots for the choice of said notes. 2nd: To my well beloved wife Sylvia I give my house, clock, also Scott's family bible, all my cupboard, kitchen and buttery furniture, one half my cider barrels, all my beds, bedsteads and furniture belonging thereunto, except what is herein after given to my son Oliver E. HART, and also one third of all my livestock provisions for one year after my decease. Also the use and improvement during her life one piece of land in Lot No. 46 bounded East on highway, South and West by Orenus HART and North on Bliss HART, containing about two acres and a half of land, also the use and improvement of one third of all my remaining real estate, both buildings and improvements during her life, also one half of the remainder of my books. 3rd: I give to my son Bliss HART Jr. one half of a certain note I hold against my son Orenus HART on which there is now due about one hundred and fifty dollars. 4th: I give to my son Oliver E. HART my second best bedstead and furniture belonging to it. I also give to the said Oliver, all my real estate and my remaining personal property. I also enjoin it upon the said Oliver to pay all my debts and expense of my sickness and funeral charges; and also to pay Rosalinda PECK and Mellisendra HART each forty dollars in three years after my decease, these sums to be paid to Rosalinda PECK and Mellissendra HART, together with what is heretofore mentioned to be given them, are to be in lieu of all and any claims they may have against me. I also appoint Oliver E. HART and Ambrose HART, Esq. sole Executors of this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made, and declare this to be my Last Will and Testament, In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal at Brookfield the 11th day of Feb. A.D. 1831. Bliss HART"
