Hawthornden State Hospital was also a mental hosital.
Since it is closed (1993?) you can call the state directory for Ohio Government and they can put you intouch with the State Department on Mental Health who has a person who can get microfiche records about patients who were there at Hawthornden. If he died there you can provide that date to the newspapers for summitt county - Northfield Township and Macedonia, Ohio, who may have posted a death notice about him. Also the archivist at mental health may have some suggestions. There is the possibility of contacting one of the historical groups for the area who may have additional information about how persons were buried there, etc. Good luck, I hope that you find what you are looking for. If he was a veteran and buried in a national park the Department of Veterans Affairs Web site has a search engine that can locate him if he is buried in a national park. Good luck.
