I have some information on Abraham and other Stout in Shelby Co. My John Lefever married widow Margaret Stout 1829 in Shelby. His step-daughter, Margaret's daughter was named Margaret Stout also. John's son Solomon Lefever married a Sally (Sarah) Stout 1829 in Shelby. My ancestor, Daniel Lefever, brother of Solomon died in the civil war. When his widow Sarah Duvall Lefever applied in 1862 for war widow pension those signing the application attesting to her status was a Maria Manley and an Eliza Stout. I had two Elizabeth that married Stout as possibilities for this Eliza, but Charles raises the possibility that Elizabeth Thompson, who may have reverted to her Stout maiden name, is the signer. Thompsons and Lefevers were supposed to be Boat / barge people and if not kin, associated with each other.
