Does anyone know if an Agricultural Census exists for Ohio for the year 1850?? Also, was a mid-decade, or state census ever done for Ohio? I'm looking for my gg-grandpa, Anton Bogner, who bought land in Thompson Twp. in Sept. of 1843. He and his family arrived in NY 29May 1843 from LeHavre, France, and I assume, traveled directly to Ohio. I have to wonder how/why he picked Ohio, relatives maybe?? There is a mystery surrounding his arrival there in Thompson Twp., as to whether his wife, Regina, gave birth to a son, and both died shortly after arriving in Seneca Co.....so many questions I have !!!

Hope someone can direct me!
Thanks!
Joyce
