I know an official death record is probably out of the question for this couple, but I just need something to help me find where they were living in Germany. Charles Heid was b. in 1826 in Baden, according to the 1880 census & Catharine Harter Heid was b. in 1831, also in Baden. Charles last appeared in a census in 1880. Catharine was found in 1900, still living in Clay Twp., Scioto Co. with daughter Grace or Gracia. In 1910, she & daughter Theresa were living in Portsmouth, Wayne Twp. She was shown as 81 years.

In the Ohio Death Records beginning in 1913, I found a Catheri Heid living until 1918 & dying in Montgomery Co.

Are there Catholic church records in Clay Twp., Scioto County & is there anyway to contact someone to do a search of these records?

I'm at a brick wall on this family until I can learn where they came from in Germany, besides Baden.
