Yes, I live in Millersburg, OH, Holmes County, Amish Country.
My Dad was born in Clyde. I remember going to Sandusky Co. to reunions, but I was probably only 5, and I am now 69!!! Yikes! That's a long time ago!

Thx for the link, it worked fine, saved the pages to my shoebox until I can get my new printer hooked up.

So sorry, I only go back to George J. & Catrina (Hartmann) Hummel and just have one child, Mary. Don't even have Emanuel or Edward. Must admit I haven't searched for the Hummels yet.

Received a 60 pg Hudson document which consists of about 90% that I didn't have. Still have to get that all entered. New version of Family Tree Maker is easier than previous versions. I'm counting on it being faster as well.

Do you live in OH? My hometown is Fostoria but now reside in SD.

Do you have the other children of George J Hummel, besides Mary? I have Emanuel and Edward, but think there were more and I can't find them listed. That's all that was in my Mother's letter.

Understand what you mean. We remember reunions near Luckey and other places in the area but were very young also. FindAGrave.com is a wonderful site. I've posted many members of our family along with their obits and photos. Many volunteers have taken photos of the graves. Have few more photos to add to my son's memorial. Richard L. Beebe, III, he died 16 March 2009. Also just added photo to recently deceased cousin on Rife side (Frieda Russwinkle). Granfather Otto Doll married Grace Koons who's mother was a Rife. Actualy have found 3 distant cousins, one's husband is cousin on other side. Very interesting. Feel free to contact me anytime.

I found it when searching for George Hummel who was her father. He is my great, great, grandfather.
Sam Doll had been mentioned in a letter I saved from 1975 when I was asking my Mom about our ancestors. I just had remembered going to Fremont for reunions and never realized who those people were......I was very young at the time!

I have the Samuel Doll & Mary Ann Hummel 1888 family Bible. There are, in addition to the notations on the family pages in the center of the Bible, two envelopes filled with obituaries and other family-related newspaper clippings. Samuel was the son of John Doll and Catherine Dayhoff (aka De Huff and other variations). John and Catherine's children were John, Daniel, Samuel, Mary, Noah, Sarah, Susannah, and Jacob.
Samuel Doll and Mary Ann Hummel had eleven or twelve children. Seven of those are: Elsie, Emma, Artenious (aka A.J.), Lucy, Mary Catherine, and the twins Arvilda and Orville.

I am in the process of formulating and reviewing the data in the Bible and the clippings. Please contact me via email at Carinvv@aol.com (that's Carin + two v's as in victor, not a w) if you would like me to share information.

REPLY: Have you gotten the info formulated you mentioned above? Yes, we are connected. John and Catherine (Dayhoff) Doll were our Gr-Gr-Gr-grandparents. Their son John was our Gr-Gr-grandfather, his son, William Otterbein, our Gr-grandfather, then his son, Otterbein Wilbur, was our grandfather, followed by Dad, Floyd E.

I haven't got far back on Hummels. Have most burial info on these Dolls. Need verification of dates and sources.

Looking for info re: Jehiel Porter b 4 Aug 1755 Southampton, Hampshire, MA; Luther Jehiel Porter b 10 Sep 1788 Southampton, Hampshire, MA and Jehiel Luther Porter b 2 Sep 1825 Clyde, Sandusky, OH.

Jehiel Porter was a Methodist minister in Granger, Medina, OH in 1820 and is listed as active in 1836.

Luther Jehiel Porter patented land claims in Sandusky,OH in 1822 and 1824. He had 8 children all purportedly born in Clyde.

Jehiel Luther Porter grew up in Clyde and his first child was born in Green Creek twp, Sandusky, OH. He removed to Warren Co., IL in 1853.

Info I have is posted on Ancestry.com.

Seeking any and all info on this family.

Hello, There is a Sandusky Ohio and also a Sandusky County in Ohio. Which one are you searching for? Sandusky Ohio is in Erie County. It is a little confusing I know. If you are looking in Sandusky County, Fremont, Ohio etc. I may be able to help you.

Titus Nolf/Marguerite Roeder had a daughter Mattie that Married Edward Spring.
The other names I do not have in my data base.

Oh by the way. I don't know if you are aware but there is a great resource for local records at the RB Hayes Library in Fremont. Here is the link http://www.rbhayes.org/hayes/

If you go to the obituary look up there is a database of all the obituaries as well as probate and other sources that are available.

Hi Lori .. I stopped by Caldwell cemetery yesterday and this time took along my brushes to clean up the headstone so that the dates and names will be more readable. this is the second try at uploading the attachments. They are smaller pictures but much clearer. I'm going to try 2 at a time.

Hi Lori .. I have pictures of the headstone for the Gale family there are 4 names on the stone. George 1842 - 1865, Stansberry 1839 - 185?, William H. 1814 - 1875 and Patience 1813 - 1896. I attempted to up load all the photos but that didn't seem to go well so I will try just George and perhaps I can send the rest via email.

I have a newspaper clipping of my great grandmother, Marguerite Spring, Daughter of E. G. Spring. Same artical also states that the reception dinner took place at the bride's grandfather's house (Titus Nolf) Fifth and Chestnut street. There are a lot of names in this artical and I would like to know if you recognize any of them.

I have a very yellowed legal page and a half of info on the Deemer's that we believe may have been typed by my husband's great-grandmother. She was Susie(Ward)Brown, daughter of Emaline(Deemer)Ward, who was the daughter of Michael Deemer, one of the 6 brothers and 2 sisters of Jacob Deemer. Not many dates are listed, but it does give married names and what we believe was probably the last known location at the time it was typed. If anyone has any interest, please provide your email address and I will be happy to share.
