CLARINGTON, PA - Sgt. Major Lowell F. "Mac" McRobbie, age 71, of Clarington, PA, died Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Jefferson Manor Health Center Brookville, PA.
He was the son of Clarence Edward McRobbie and Mabel Emery McRobbie.
He was born on August 7, 1937 in Fremont, Ohio. (Sandusky County)
He was married on February 7, 1959 in Clyde, Ohio to Alice F. Abbott who survives.
He was married 50 years.
He was a Veteran and Sergeant Major in the U. S. Marine Corps.
He retired after 26 years and three Tours of Vietnam.
He was a machinist, truckdriver for Snyder Trucking Co., enjoyed woodworking at North Wales Millwork in PA., Tool repairman with New Era Homes in Strattanville, PA.
He was a member of Sigel United Methodist Church, Sigel, PA., past lay speaker, Hobah Lodge #276 Free and Accepted Masons of Brookville, PA., where he was past Worshipful Master, 32 degree Mason at Coudersport Consisterory, Coudersport, PA. Lifetime member of Marienville VFW and member Clarion American Legion. Surviving is one daughter, Cindy Lauer of Trevose, PA, and husband, Kris Lauer of Langhorne, PA; one son, Robert Scott McRobbie of Leeds, MA; one brother, William (Billy) McRobbie of Greenspring, Ohio; two grandchildren, Justin Abbott Lauer and Lindsay Marie Lauer; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren

.Preceded in death by his parents; twin sisters, Debbie and Diane McRobbie; grandparents, Fred and Martha Emery who raised Lowell McRobbie from a child. Visitation hours are 7 to 9 PM Friday, March 13, 2009.
Masonic Services will be conducted Friday evening at 7:30 PM at the McKinney Funeral Home. American Legion Post 102 of Brookville will conduct military honors at the time of services on Saturday, March 14.
Service is Saturday, March 14, 2009 at 1:00 PM at the McKinney Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Arlington National Cemetery in Washington D.C. with Full Military Honors accorded to him.

CLARINGTON, PA: Alice F. McRobbie, 77, Blue Ridge Road, Clarington, died Saturday, March 14, 2015, at McKinley Health Care Center, Brookville, PA.
She was born May 14, 1937, in Fremont, Ohio, a daughter of the late Oral and Viola Baker Abbott.
She was married to Lowell F. "Mac" McRobbie on February 7, 1959, in Clyde, Ohio. He preceded her in death March 6, 2009.
She retired from Prudential Insurance Co.
She was a 25-year resident of Clarington, PA with many loving friends in the area. Survivors include a daughter, Cindy Lauer of Southport, N.C.; a son, Robert Scott McRobbie of West Springfield, MA.; a foster son, Wayne Parker of Holy Oak, MA.; a sister, Kaye Abbott of Clarington; and a granddaughter, Lindsay Marie Lauer.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a grandson, Justin Abbott Lauer.
Friends will be received at the time of services.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at the McKinney Funeral Home, Brookville, PA .
Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery, Washington, D.C.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hahne Cancer Center in DuBois, PA.
