We do not know a lot about Isaac Cjaney b March 29 1858 in Athens Co. married Margaret J. Cottrill. Lived in Ross Co. OH. Had 2 children.The name you gave is not familiar but I dont know how many siblings Isaac had.Will help all I can but our knowledge is limited. Appreciate any help. Mae

I have some information on both Mathias Cottrill and Henderson Cottrill families of Ross county, Ohio. None of the descendants of Mathias have been able to go back from Mathias. Henderson Cottrill spent most of live in Vinton ct. OH and is son of John D. Cottrill and Barbara Greathouse. He had a number of brothers and sisters. While there is no documentation to connect Mathias and the John D. Cottrill, they did appear in same geographical area even before Henderson moved to Ross ct. ---jim yell

This Isaac Chaney died 14 Nov 1936 near Lima in Allen County, Ohio.

His residence was listed as Chillicothe, OH.

Death Certificate also listed him as "divorced" and Margaret J. Cottrill was married to Thomas McDonough when she passed away on 24 April 1948 in Ross County, Ohio.

Margaret had a sister named Mollie May Cottrill. The birth records of Ross County have a James E. Cottrill born to Isaac Chaney and May Cottrill...

Mollis May Cottrell was married to James E. Carey.

If this is the Isaac Chaney that Mae originally posted born March 1858 and died in Allen County, I think I discovered what happened.
